City Wide Prayer Initiative
Years ago, upon reading 2 Chronicles 7:14, the Lord gave Carolyn Henry Hurst, DPM a vision of church members coming together in corporate prayer. Upon moving to Cleveland, Ohio last year, she collaborated with the Women’s Ministries Leaders of the area and hosted a series of meetings – “Intimate Moments with God” and “One Night with The King,” – which focused on prayer.

Sometime later, a series of crises took place, which gravely affected many in the seven churches. It was from this need for intense, fervent, corporate prayer that the City Wide Prayer Initiative (CWPI) came into existence with the help of Mrs. Malinda Woods.
A bevy of questions hit them: how, when, and where would they be able to get the seven churches together. The Lord provided the answer in the form of a City Wide Revival sponsored by the pastors in the Cleveland area. For the entire week of the revival, members of the area churches came together to pray for an hour before the meeting.
Some of the upcoming CWPI events include a 24-Hour Prayer Chain, a weekly Prayer Conference Call, and a prayer service before each of the joint assemblies.
